Would like to know if Mahana Buckner Jones is related to Jones Ledbetter and Buckner Ledbetter. Her grandmother was Lydia Ledbetter who married first Daniel McDowell (died GA?) and second Lewis Shellhouse. Lydia Ledbetter's daughter Jane McDowell b.c.1792 SC married John Jones b.SC and had Mahana Bucker Jones in 1807 supposedly in Caldwell Co, KY. Also living near Caldwell Co, KY in 1810 is a MIllington Ledbetter, a Micajah Ledbetter and later a Mathew Ledbetter. Are all these folks related? Cannot find parents of Lydia. She was born about 1775 in SC or GA. Sources vary. She died in Sangamon Co, IL in 1842. She lived in Caldwell Co, KY in 1820 next door to her son-in-law, John Jones. Jane McDowell Jones is widowed by 1850 and is living with her half-brother, Willis Shellhouse, in Sangamon Co, IL . Her two known Jones daughters married in Caldwell Co, KY. Also is John Jones related to Tabitha Jones?
