Does anyone know Margaret "Peggy" Ledbetter's maiden name? She was the wife of Asa Ledbetter, the son of Henry Cupp Ledbetter, Sr. Asa's mother was Nancy Coon Ledbetter and not Charity Edwards Ledbetter. Charity Edwards was the 2nd wife of Henry Cupp Ledbetter, Sr. They had many more children after Asa and Margaret (Asa's sister of 1790) were born by his first wife, Nancy Coon. This Nancy was a child of Valentyn and Mary Coon according to our Family Bible. We have no mention of his 2nd wife in our Family Bible because, evidently, they were only interested in Asa's mother, Henry's first wife, Nancy Coon. We are also looking for the name of Henry Cupp Ledbetter, Sr.'s mother. We believe she was probably a "Cupp" being he is carrying that name as his middle name.
Any help with Asa's wife's name and Henry Cupp Ledbetter, Sr.'s mother's name would be appreciated. Asa named one of his sons, Henry Cupp Ledbetter, Jr.(1819) from whom we descend.
