I have jsut begun researching information on my family connection to the LeComptes and come across your very interesting mention of the document you have or had re. the early history. Do you still have the document? I am descended from Mary LeCompte, who married Edw. Cator in circa 1743. The 'old Cator house' mentioned in your document may well have been Edward Cator's family house??? I would love to know more.
