Thank you for your reply. Carolyn's connection is thorugh Mary's son William Westley North. His second marriage, June 26,1917, of four(?), to Mary Helen Bamber gave him a daughter, Mary Helen North. Mary H. North married Richard Tyler and they had one one daughter, Carolyn.
We hope nexy year to make a trip through S. Carolina and on to Maryland to visit some of her family's historic locations. At least one branch of my family goes back to the same area of Maryland and came over shortly after Anthony LeCompte as an indentured servant. I may only be half kidding when I say that her (your) family may have owned my family!
I am just now starting to work on the branches to the LeCompte, North, Bamber, Tyler line. The brothers gave an interesting history back to Anthony getting kicked out of France but said little about inlaws! Carolyn and I are learning together how to search for the needed information and records.
