The Maryland & Delaware LeComptes
Posted by: John LeCompte (ID *****3379) Date: September 25, 2002 at 20:30:54

I had posted a message seeking my family's connection to the Maryland LeComptes. I can now go back one more generation and am seeking any other information to make the connection. I had always been told my family left France during the Huegonot(sp?) oppression. Maybe this means I am not related to the Maryland LeComptes.
1.I am John Logan LeCompte, born in 1952 in Milford, Delaware. I am married to Theresa May Mason.
2.My father was Howard Logan LeCompte, who lived in Lincoln, Delaware. He was married to Lillian Ann Ingram. They also had a daughter (my sister) Cheryl LeCompte Walls
3.My grandfather was John Logan LeCompte, who lived in Lincoln, Delaware. He was married to Irma O. Postles. My father was their only child.
4.My great grandfather was John N. LeCompte (1844-1918) buried in the cemetery in Lincoln, Delaware. He was married to Mary D. LeCompte (1855-1940). They had another son Herman H. LeCompte (1889-190?) who died in a drowning accident, and (I think) two daughters.
If you can make a connection here, that would be great
