Looking for ancestors of Samuel D. Lecompte, chief justice of the territorial supreme court in KS. Lecompton, KS, the original territorial capital of KS, named for him. He apparently arrived in KS from MD.
I descend from Daniel Banta and Elizabeth Lecompte (Charles, Robert, John, Antoine) and am interested in Samuel as I live 20 miles from Lecompton, KS.
