I appreciate the response and inquiry. The Moise I am seeking is probably from Canada. He had a son Henry born in
Canada in 1845. If you want to see my family tree it is posted on genealogy.com. I have come to believe that the Dupre's, Le Boeuf's and Julians are the French version of Smith. I will do some comparison and see if there is a possible link to the La (cajun?)branches. I am sure there is. Let me know if I can help further.
