If you are looking for Oscar Leboeuf then you must be a relative.Oscar was my great-gradfather.My grandfather was Ernest A. Leboeuf.I do not have much information on him except that he died coming home one night from somewhere with a friend. The friend and Oscar seems to always get into a fight after drinking.Late one winter night they were coming back in their boat they got into a fight and his friend hit him with a paddle.Later that morning they found Oscar by the boat dead. They said that he froze to death.Well thats the story, at least the way it was told to me.Oscar's family disowned him after he married my great grandma because she was Indian.
Hope you get back in touch, we might be able to learn more together. My grandfather left Terrebone parish in the early forties and moved to St. Bernard parish. When they left to go trap in St. Bernard parish alot of the families and relatives moved to St. Bernard, that why their was alot of Houma Indians in that parish.
