Dear Dorothy,
Thank you for your message. We knew that Henry Lebow had another daughter but not what her name was. Where did you find the marriage record for Mary and Raleigh Shipley? Mary died before 1820 as she is not in that census. On p.288, Warren Co., Tenn 1820 census, under the name Raleigh Shipley, there are three males under the age of ten (most likely John, Edward, and Tidance), 1 male between 26 and 45 (Raleigh), 1 female under age ten (do you know her name?), and the family is engaged in agriculture. Mary is not listed there. Raleigh apparently married his 2nd wife Sulena about 1821. I have the names of eight of their 12 children.
I hope to get to the library to do some research in the next week or so and check the Warren Co., Tenn records and the Dade Co., Missouri records (where the family moved between 1850 and 1860). Will let you know what I find.
If you want to e-mail me direct, my e-mail address is
Thanks, Beth
