I have a John Lebo born July 20, 1798, married March 17, 1831 to Mary Ann Sinks born Jan 2, 1812. There was a land record for John Lebo in Sabine Parish LA in the abnout 1842. Children were Catherine Lebo born 1832, Preston cooper Lebo born May 20, 1835, and Henry Lebo born Dec 30, 1837.

After John died, Mary Ann married Charles L. Crump. Together they had James C. Crump born 1855 and Charles H. Crump born Oct 1856. Charles and Mary ann were married June 1855 in Natchitoches Parish, LA.

In the 1860 Census children Ann 14, Thomas G 12, and James W appear, but did not appear in the 1850 census with Charles, so they could have also been children of Mary Ann and John Lebo.

Since John and Mary Ann named at least one son Henry, I am wondering if this John was a son of Henry Lebo of Tennessee?

At Marthaville, LA, there is a grave for Minnie Ida Lebo, widow of J. H. Lebo (Jan 5, 1882 - Jun 22, 1905). I do not know the relationship. There was also a Catherine Lebo who married J. Bailey Butley Nov 9, 1851, in Sabine Parish, LA.

I would be interested in discussing this futher with anyone who knows this family.
