I just located the death certificate of my grgr grandfather, William Leonard Kress (1858-1940). His parents are listed as Conrad Kress (from Germany) and Catherine Leba or Lebo, also from Germany. I can't be sure of the spelling for Lebo or Leba because of the condition of the death certificate. First, can anyone confirm that Leba or Lebo is a German surname? And, does anyone know of a Catherine Lebo from Germany who lived in Carroll County, Maryland? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
