We are trying to locate connections with our families who came from the villages of Bcherre, Bazaoun, Batroun, and Hasroun. The family name from Bcherre was Rahme (isn't this the same family as Khalil Gibran?) but in U.S. it was changed to Shibbl/Chebel=Shipley. The family name from Bazaoun was Shaya but somehow became Wasaff which is a first name I think. Ther family from Batrun was Eblan. All of these ancestors left Lebanon in the 1880's and the ones from Bazaoun and Batroun made their way to St. Louis, MO. The family from Bcherre ended up in Austin, TX and Khalil Shipley/Shibbl/Chebel (Rahme) married the daughter of the Zivara family from Hasroun all of whom had emigrated to Guatemala. Who can help.
