You may want to try in Southern Texas (McAllen) where a sizeable number of Karams live which have linkage to Lebanon. Elias Karam is the common ancestor. I'm not completely certain, but it seems to me that I've heard of a Simon Karam who has linkage to this same family with roots in Africa (uncertain which country).
