Haven't sen any one offer you info about your name. Haykel (I haven't tried properly transliterating that so it's just my inventive spelling) in Arabic the area at the front of the church where the alter and cross are located. In many middle-eastern sects it is partitioned off by screens/walls/doors painted with religious icons.
