If anyone is looking for any information , or has any information for me on Wadi Kannoubine also known as the valley of the saints , wadi Kadisha , Wadi Qannoubine , Wadi Annoubine and other various spellings . Prior to Lebanese independence, we were known as Syrians under Ottoman / Turkish rule. many left thinking they were Syrian or Turkish ! I have a facebook site called , Wadi Kannoubine Charitable Association. We are 3000 strong in Sydney Australia . some common names are Younan , Touma , Michael, Kady , Hindi , Azar, Becharra , and a few others . The spelling may vary !
We have extensive knowledge , we have built a Community Hall for our people , in Sydney Australia. Please contact me by email , younanray@yahoo.com or by post PO Box A123 Enfield South 2133 Sydney Australia . Others from neighbouring villages are also welcome . We fall under the Becharrie area.
