Hi Philippe. Thomas Simon born in Millinocket Maine is my mothers Uncle . I always called him Uncle Tommy . He was the best chef I have ever met . He had sisters, Zina, Mary, Tina , and Phoebe( my grandmother ) After their dad died the mother raised the children untill her death a few years later . The children were then raised by the Grey Nuns ( Sisters of Mercy) in Lewiston Maine . Phoebe headed to Boston where met Eva Dumas who helped get her a job at a shoe factory . Her sisters followed shortly as they became adults . Tina wanted to become a nun but had health issues which did not allow her to follow her passion .Tommy would go to an orphanage in Boston as to be close to his sisters .There is much more to report . Please feel free to contact me at if you would like more info .Also , I posted some pictures last year of a party for Uncle Toms birthday on my facebook page from back in the late 1970s .
