Hello. I feel a little dumb asking this, because we get questions about name equivalents all the time on the JewishGen forums, and the answer is always "well, maybe, but not really, and who knows..." because there really is not a real answer to the question. And it's probably the same with Lebanese names....
However, is there any reason to think that a man born in 1913 of ["Syrian"] parents in Massachusetts, given name Assad, might end up calling himself George?
