Michel S., Espir, Gabe and Eclimondas (SP?) Haik were 4 brothers from Beirut born mid 1800's who came to Louisiana. Espir and Gabe had a dry goods store in New Orleans French Quarter on Jackson Square. Michel married
Olga Afeiche and lived for many years on Madison Street in
the French Quarter before moving to Bogalusa,Louisiana. Their children were Isabel,Leslie(male),Waddad(fem.),Emile,
Georgette,Evelyene,Lorraine,and George Michel.
My father,George Michel Haik,M.D. attended Bogalusa High School and Tulane University and Medical School.
He married my mother Isabelle Saloom Haik of Lafayette,Louisiana at Mater Delorosa Church in 1948.
Their children were George Michel Haik,Jr.(born 2/8/49),Kenneth George Haik(born 1/18/1950),Barrett George Haik(born 9/8/1951) and Suzanne Alyce Haik (born 7/8/1955).
