Hi Ayiana
The word Corban means,(immolation, offering, oblation)actually it is the thick sweet bread offered in church when we have a memorial for a deceased one,it is pronounced as(Corban)not the Kourban,it is a short vowel (o). This is a very well known popular family name, actually it is another family branch of mine.I don't have an idea if any of them went to Cuba, that must have been long time ago.I hope I was of a little help.
