Afternoon Pete,
I am so happy to hear from someone else who can give me information regarding my ancestry. With my mother and Nana (Curley's wife, Shirley) passed and my father of no use as a family historian, it is hard to get any useful and true information. It was an eye opener about the Lebanon/Syria facts. It has always confused me.Regardless of where I am from, I feel proud inside of my ancestors and have no problem claiming either - but you cleared up something that has been unclear all my life.Thank you very much for this.Peter Hikel knows my father, and may have given you some colorful information about him - a troubled soul, but much different now after his last accident, pedestrian/car.
If you don't mind.I would be very happy to hear of any new information you find if it relates to my family as well.I understand the hard work that goes into these types of searches.I keep hitting walls myself because of all the different and false informatio I was given as a child.I will be sharing the information and link re: Sidon with my brother and sister (Chris and Kim; we are Curley's grandchildren).
If there is anything I may have of help or interest to you, feel free to contact me and I will happily share.
Blessings and take care.
