It's nice to hear from you. I grew up in Wilkes-Barre, and my father's parents were both from Hardine. I live in NY state now, with my family. My grandmother's family (Mamie Decker), I believe moved to the US in the 1890's (I do not know any details). My grandfather's family (Letuf Korey) moved a little later. They all lived in what was referred to as "Camel Hill" in W-B (was a positive connotation), as the area was made up of a lot of recent immigrants, who lived in the same general area.
Mamie Decker's parents were named George Decker and Catherine (Deeb) Decker. Their children were named: Mary, Peter, Daniel, Mamie, Ann. There were and still are many Deckers in the W-B area.
By the way, if you want to get more info, my Great Aunt Ann Decker still lives in W-B, near Loomis Street. Good luck. Let me know if you see a connection anywhere. Jerry
P.S. - I go by Clearfield at least a few times per year, as I work at Notre Dame football games, and often will drive along I-80 on a game weekend.
