pronounciation of a name

My maiden name is Samaha. In this country, it has always been pronounced phonetically as "Sam a ha" with the emphasis on "ha" which gives it more of a native american sound. Recently, I have been told that we pronounce the name wrong, that it should be pronounced with the "h" silent and the last "a" with an "uh" sound which would sound something like this : Sa may uh. If anyone can tell me the correct way to pronounce the name, I would be very appreciative
