I am from Athens, Greece. In the 1920s, some of my ancestors had to leave Adana, Turkey. They chose to go to Beirut, Lebanon. They were Christian Orthodox of Greek origin. In Lebanon, they were given the last name HAMTENUR (I don't really know how this is written). George Hamtenur, who was blind, had a small bakery in Beirut. Please contact me, if you know anything about people with this surname. Also let me know if you think that this surname could not be correct, and tell me what you think would be the correct version of the name. Thank you very much.
