You are the first person to have responded to me. My grandfather is John Prieto (Asmar) He is 80 years old. His father was Tanos Asmar. He was born around 1890. All of the names you mentioned earlier are the names that Tanos names his sons, except for buolos.
Tanos came to the US through Mexico, then lived in Arizona and Imperial valley in California. Finally residing in Fowler. Located by Fresno California.
We know that my great grandfather Tanos always moved and changed his name in Mexico so that he could acquire land.
Some of our family says that we are Lebanese, while other say we are Syrian. We have no clear identity.
I know that a first cousin to my grandfather named Elias, who is around my grandfathers age of 80 came to see us many years ago. There is also another cousin who lives in Australia that wrote to my grandparents often.
