Hi Jana:

I don't know if there is any connection, but my great-grandfather from Beirut (I think), Rachid Khoury had married a teacher by the name of Emily or Emiline Andrews and moved to the US in early 1900's. They had 6 children: Fred, Lorinda, Betty, Olga, William and Philip. My grandmother was Lorinda. She married my grandfather, Saladin Ayoubee (also from Lebanon) and they had 5 kids...etc. My dad Raymond was their oldest. Feel free to e-mail me at and I have a childhood picture of 2 children from the Khoury union. Not an attachment because I used the picture on my novel and will just e-mail you the link.
