My great grandmother was Margaret Kattor, b. 4 Jul 1897 in Beirut, Mt. Lebanon, Syria. She had brothers Joseph Simon and Samuel J. Margaret married Rocco DiPasquale in Worcester, MA.
Margaret's parents were Simon J. Kattor and Mary Beshara (Besharia). They immigrated to Worcester, MA in 1898 and this branch of the family stayed there. Margaret's brothers were both business owners in Worcester.
Simon J. Kattor's parents was born 1868 in Mt. Lebanon, Syria and his wife, Mary Beshara was born in 1872 also in Lebanon. Simon's parents were Joseph Kattor and wife Anna; Mary's parents were John Kattor and Sultana Solom.
There is a family story of Margaret having visited relatives in Detroit, MI in the 1920s or 1930s.
Looking to share information on the Kattor and Beshara families especially for information from Lebanon.
