Hello again, My grandfather was raised by his uncle, Tanoos Salhany, after his parents died. They came to America, via Canada, we think, in the late 1890s. My grandfather was an Assaly, but his name was changed to George C. Core (pronounced Corey or Khouri) when he immigrated. If any of my Salhany cousins have any information about Tanoos, I would appreciate it so very much. We think that he settled in Ohio and my grandfather went on to Oklahoma, where he married my grandmother Wadia Shamas. My grandfather was also from the Rashaya Al-Wadi area of Lebanon. Please let me know plans for the reunion. Thank you! Emy
