It was great to hear from you. My grandmother, Adele Michael, was Fudwa's sister. Are you one of the twins' sons? I know Fudwa had twin boys who lived in Parkerburg, WV.

I am the daughter of Helen Michael Miller. She is the sixth child of Thomas and Adele Michael. I am her fourth child. I live in Lost Creek, WV.

Do you know anything about your grandmother's life in Lebanon. For example, relatives still there. Where they lived in Lebanon. What type of life they had there--poor, well off? All I know is rumors. My grandmother died when I was five--too young to ask. And no one else seems to have asked questions. I know a little about my grandfather who was also from Lebanon. But next to nothing about my grandmother's life before the US.

Do you know Fudwa's parents' names? Places of birth? Nationality? Do you know the correct spelling for Heroui? My family spells it multiple ways.

My mailing address is Rt 1 Box 44C, Lost Creek, WV 26385. I would be glad to hear from you through snail mail or email. My email is If you have any citizenship papers, or other official forms with names, place of birth, etc I would love to have a copy.

Thanks for replying to my email. Keep in touch.

Mary Beth Stenger
