Looking for family Abdo/Anton
Posted by: Tricia De Lucia Date: February 04, 2002 at 17:37:16

I am searching for my family that emigrated here from Syria and Beruit in the very early 1900's. My grandfather's name was Shaikal Abdo, spelling could be different, and my grandmother's name was Mariam Anton, also spelling could be different. Shaikal was a nomad from Syria. I have been told that his naturalization papers say something about the Turkish empire. Mariam is from Beruit, she moved here to Toledo, Ohio when she was 17, she met her brother David. From Toledo, Shaikal, or Charles and Mary, moved to Charlestown, West Virginia, and then back to Toledo. If anyone has any information on how to find records from the Middle East, please let me know. Shukran!!!
