Hamam is just one of the variants in spelling of the surname. My grandparents were as far as I know both born in Zahla (appx 25 miles west of Beirut). My grandfather came to the USA around the turn of the century and settled in Glen Campbell PA. He was naturalized in 1912 (from memory). Have found different US records with all three of the spellings contained in the original posting. Anything specifically you'd like that I have I'd be glad to share.
