Cheryl, Don't know much about the Al-Ain family but the word Hadchit is from the Caaninite language meaning NEW. Hadchit overlooks Wadi Kadisha & my late father told me that the name is a corruption of 2 Lebanese words : hud & sheer - near cliff.
