Andrew,
Could you possibly give me the e-mails of those Ghobairas that you know so that I may contact them?
What I know about the Gobairas is this...the family name began about 300 years or so ago, and they came from Ghazir. The Gobaira family used to work with processing wheat for flour, which is where they got their name (Gobaira= "dusty" or something like that.)
Anyone with a Gobaira last name is family. I also know of Gobairas that live in Michigan...their father was born in Santo Domingo. And there is even a Gobaira in NASA...she's an astronaut!
Even though spellings may differ because of hosting country, all Gobairas are the same family...
Thanks for everything :)
Nadia
