There is no difference between Helou/Hilow and ElHelou/ElHilow, because the "EL" in Arabic is used as the "THE" in English, >> so, ELHILOW = THE HILOW.
All persons bearing the surname HELOU(in French Pronounciation) = Hilow ( in your american pronounciation) are related to the same ancestor.
