Hello,

My last name is Elhilow and was butchered by Ellis Island officials. My late Lebanese grandfather explained that our name was pronouced Hilu, meaning sweet in Arabic. My greatgrandparents, Beshara and Sultaneh Elhilow, immigrated to NYC in 1920 from the town of dJezzine. Wondering if your family history mentions anyone from dJezzine (or Jezzine) Lebanon.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Jennifer Elhilow
