Hi Lorie,

Unfortunately, I don't have any information on my Great Grandmother's Family Shalhoub. Just that she was born in Douma, Lebanon in 1884 and that she married Joseph Simon who was also from Douma, Lebanon. I don't know what year they came to Boston, MA. and the year they moved from Boston to Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada. This is where they had 5 of their 6 childern My grandfather Thomas Joseph Simon was the oldest born in 1906; then Fred born in 1908; then Lena born in 1910; Shirley born in 1912; Mary born in 1916 and then the youngest Alexander was born sometime after.
In 1923 they moved to Vancouver, Canada and then went onto Los Angeles, CA where they lived until their deaths. Joseph Simon passed away in 1964 and Emilyna Bader Maloof Shalhoub Simon passed away in 1968.

Did your Grandmother ever mention any sisters or cousins by the name of Emilyne or Emilyna? Or did she ever mention if she knew of Emilyna or my great grandfather Joseph Simon, her husband.

What's very hard is that we don't know their parents names. All we know is that Joseph Simon's parents came to the USA with Joseph and Emilyna along with Joseph's brother Jacob Simon and their sister Fida {Frieda}

I look forward to hearing from you soon :)

kris
