My grandfather, Joseph Theodore Salem Abraham Malouf, was booked on the Titanic when he was 11 years old. There were problems with his passport name, and he was detained in England. He was placed on the next ship one week later, and came to the US through Boston. He was alone, leaving his entire family in Kaferakeb-outside Beirut.
