I have a Thomas Marion Leathers b.Jan 1879 Wayne Co. IL. He was the som of Alfred O. Leathers and his wife Mrs. Louisa Martin. Thomas Marion Leathers married Elizabeth Bruce abt 1900. They lived in Stoddard Co. MO, then moved to New Madrid Co. MO. Their children were Louis Alvin, Floyd, Alfred, Orville, Marion, Raymond and a daughter Pearline. If this sounds like your family, Alfred was the son of Jonathan Green Leathers and Elizabeth Wolfe. They were born in VA, married in Nelson Co. KY, and moved to Orange Co. Indiana. From there they migrated to Wayne Co. IL. I have a lot of facts I can share with you for this branch of the family.
