Francis Monroe Leatherman born December 8, 1841in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana was my great great great grandfather. I only know that in 1880 he was a printer, he also served as an attorney, and that he had a home in the 2nd Ward of Claiborne, Louisiana in 1880. “Frank” as he is known by some was married to Martha Candler sister of the father of Asa Griggs Candler who founded the Coca-Cola company.

I would greatly appreciate any biography information about his life and any photographs that can be found. Family members have told me that he was a Mason, life member of the Ku Klux Klan, and a Roman Catholic. They have recovered some of his belongings that belong to these organizations and his daughter (my great great grandmother) was taught in a convent school. I would like to know more about where he lived and what he looked like.

Many Thanks,

Charles Edward Sean Buchanan-Boardman
