Pat,
All Leatherman Kin book has the following on page 172.
7. Walter Demas Leatherman, b June 22, 1884, m 1907 to Hattie Rarick, Street car conductor, Pasadena, Calif. No issue.

Walter was the son of Demas Jay Leatherman, b Licking Co., OH April 26, 1851 d Fargo, Oklahoma Nov 19, 1923; m Batavia, Iowa, Leota Steadman, b Aug 19, 1860, d Fargo, Oklahoma June 19, 1927. Demas and family moved by train to South Dakota in the early 90s, but stayed only five months then went to Arcadia, Valley County, Nebraska and took up a homestead of 120 acres. In the spring of 1897, they moved to Smith County, Kansas and in the fall of 1900 to Woodward Co., Oklahoma. Christian Church. Carpenter, Fargo, OK. Children: Effie, James, John, Walter, Bert, Gertrude, Benjamin.
