Nathan Leasure, 1850, Mercer County, PA
Posted by: Tim Duffie (ID *****0638) Date: March 05, 2008 at 06:42:09

Nathan & Rebecca May Catharine Trine Leasure appear on the 1850 Salem Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania census. At that time they were living next to Peter & Catherine Trine, Rebecca's parents.

By the 1860 Otter Creek Township (originally Salem Township) census, Nathan & Rebecca had changed their surname to "Lesher".

Nathan & Rebecca were my gggrandparents.

I have no information on Nathan prior to his appearance in the 1850 census, so I cannot tie him to any particular Leasure group at this time. Descendants would be:

Daniel John & Anna Williman Lesher
Clyde & Evalyn Pollard Lesher
Monroe & Shirley Evalyn Lesher Duffie
Jack & Betty Lesher Jenny
Daniel Haven & Eunice Vianna Herber Lesher

Related Surnames also include: Pollard, Howe, Benninghoff, Woodworth, Silver, Luark, Grundei

If anyone can link us to a Leasure family, I'll share what I have of Nathan's descendants.....

Tim Duffie
