HI
I FOUNDD A PIECE WRITTEN BT A WENDELL HOWLAND it said that he is related to the creagers and maybe the letchers. mr. howland is from port chester ny who original settler in america was casper kriegeer/ kruger/ creager moved west ca 1813 settled in montg. co ohio then s outh whitley co ind.
a william creager died ohio married 1829 frederick co. md. to elizabeth miller and he died scott twp. linn co kansas. shortly after the birth of a daughter lousia cath creager 1830 at frederick co md. the family migrated west, settled, crawford co ohio. after the death of elizabeths husband william, elizabeth and her children joined the leasure family and moved first to montezuma io then onto scott twp. linn co. kansas. i am a creager and i also have letchers in my family. i have found the letchers were spelled many ways. if this is not the letcher family, how does the leasure family fit into the creagers?mr. howland said he had more on the leasure family. help with this matter would br greatly appreciated.
