William Edward Leasure 1846-1923 & Augusta (V or J)Dhume 1851-1928 are my great grandparents. Family history tells us that they were both born in Ohio and married there in 1881. IGI:Marriage Records 1798-1910,Ohio Probate Ct., Ross Co., OH list Augusta's middle initial J and the 1900 AR Census list her as Jennie A Leasure then again in the 1910 Census she is listed as Augusta J Leasure. William, Augusta and their children lived most of their lives in White Co., AR and are buried there. I am certain of the previous info but the following is a trail I am attempting to follow. The 1880 Fayette Co. Ohio Census list a Jane Dhume, age 23, living with the family of John & Sarah Leasure. Also living with the family is a Mathew Law, age 85, who could possibly be Sarah's father. The 1870 list John & Sarah Leasure's family living next to Mathew & Eliza Law & living with the Laws is a William Leasure, age 22. The 1860 & 1850 Ohio Census list a son, William, as one of John & Sarah's children. I wish I knew where William was in 1880. I hope this helps and would appreciate any information about the Leasures or the Dhumes. I do have a picture of William & Augusta. Rebecca Stewart Garcia
