I would not call any of those spellings wrong. Who are we to say one is wrong and one is right. In the days before social security, insurance, drivers licenses, computer databases, etc. what difference did spelling make. If it sounded right, it was right. Anyone who mattered knew who you were. Someone from an earlier time might consider us to be obsessed with trivial points about spelling.
