To try to tie these two families together, I find Nathan T. and Adeline Gill listed in the Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas census, 210/200 he is 65, a carpenter, and she is 59, both born SC.
They have children in the home, James, 25, no occupation listed, born Alabama, worth 700.00, and daughter Emma, age 14, born Alabama.
Nextdoor in 211/201 is GEORGE LEEK age 30, b c1840 farmer, worth 100.00 born Georgia and Eliza, age 29 born Alabama with children born in Arkansas; Ella, age 11 Georgia, age 10 and Viola, age 4.
Here is the record for Eliza Adeline Gill marrying Lemuel:

I am reasonably sure this Eliza who is listed as GEORGE LEEK'S wife is the same Eliza who married LEMUEL LEAKE.
Is GEORGE and LEMUEL W. one and the same person? (There are different birth locations listed, however.)
I do know that many of the Leake/Leak children have more than one middle name.
OR Could Lemuel have died by 1870, since I don't have a death date or location for him, and George LEEK/Leake have married Eliza? I don't find a George Leek/Leak or Leake in my database who would fit the age and birthplace.
Can someone help with this puzzle?

Nathan T and Adeline's oldest daughter Mary Jane Gill, born March 1834 in Green County, Alabama married a Nathaniel Patterson, born c they are listed in 209/199, at the right ages and also have a list of children.
