He left them in the mid 1920's. I have found that death too, but it is not him. The year after that he appears on the 1920n census report. My grandmother was born three years later, and her sister he died as an infant was probably born 1924 or 1925. After that the trail runs cold. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
