It's great to make a connection. This has been a hard line to trace. The following is my line: My grandfather was Killis Harper, s/o Joseph "Joe" Harper and Fannie Bell Lee. He married Drucilla Carman and they had 15 children. Joseph Harper, b. 15 Mar 1876, d. 3 Apr 1951, marriage date: lic. issued 27 Jul 1895, Gibson Co., TN marriage sol. 3 Apr 1895 Fannie Bell Lee, b. 12 Jun 1879, d. 9 Jan 1953 Children: Lonnie Albert: b. 12 Nov 1897 Mary Dee: b. 1902 Killis: b. 1 May 1904 (my maternal grandfather) Ezra James: b. 12 Feb 1907 Lillie Mae: b. May 1895, Arkansas *Note: I found a marriage record for John Lea and Mary Ann Barnett in Jefferson Co., marriage records that I believe to be this John and Mary dated 21 Aug 1858. In 1860 John is living nextdoor to Jasper Lee and two doors from Wm Lee, age 42. I have John's parents as Leander Lea, SR. and Martha Maples. I would appreciate any corrections and/or additions. My grandmother told my mother that we were related to the line of Gen. Robert E. Lee. Have you found any truth to that in our line of Lee/Lea? I look forward to hearing from you. I have more detailed info on the later family that I am happy to share. My email is nancyfromtennessee@yahoo.com. Nancy Notify Administrator about this message?
