I still think I am confused. Alfred M. Lea, Sr. is my gg grandfather and he was married to Sarah Hewlett. Their daughter Mary Eliza Lea my great grandmother married John Royal Puryear. Now which John were you referring to who moved to Texas after the Civil War? I also have the information about the 50 slaves. My Leas were in Tate Co., MS where my mother was born.
