Hi there, My mother Joan Gladys Elizabeth (nee Lawrence) and her husband William (Bill) Francis Le Gallais immigrated to New Zealand from Jersey, (Channel Islands) approximately 49 years ago with their twin daughters, Janet and Anne. My mother lived in Charing Cross, St Heliers. My father was the striker for the Magpies football team and was good enough to be placed on Manchester United football teams books. Bill was an engineer by trade. My father passed away 6 years ago and so have his brothers, Phillip, Don, George and Joe. My grandmothers name was Ailene and my Grandfathers name on my fathers side was called George.
I am really keen to know more about my father and his family history. It would be fantastic to learn more about a man who set a great foundation for the future desendents of the Le Gallais family in New Zealand.
