We are Lazuka relations. Grandfather Stefan Lazuka came from Lipa, in eastern Poland. We were told he was Ukrainian. He worked in Altoona, Pennyslvania. I have information about him coming with some others. Let us compare information. Lately I have been wondering about the spelling of the name. On one site recently I saw a reference to a Luszczki family. The Polish names were often ended with an i or an a depending on the sex of the individual. I am wondering if the name was somehow different before the crossing, if the middle letters became an u, if that would make any sense in the phonetic sense. What documentaion do you have?
