I am looking for more information on my great-grandfather's side.
The only information we have gathered is that my great-grandfather Peter LaZar was born in Vrsac, Hungary - January 19th, 1883. (We think his father's name was Adam)
Peter married an Elizabeth Fresz (Born in Moravitza, Hungary, July 9, 1887.)
Our family has traced nearly the entire Fresz line, but have much difficulty finding more LaZars.
We know for sure that Peter and Elizabeth had daughter Barbara in Vrsac in the year 1909, before settling in America around the year 1910 (possibly 1911). They had 7 more children including my grandfather John. (Once arriving in America, the family name was changed to Lasar.) After WW2 Peter's sister Hilda or Hulda fled with her son to Sao Paulo, Brasil. We think she has remained unmarried and uses the name LaZar (or at least was unmarried and used the name when she moved to Brasil.)
According to my grandfather and great uncle, their father was very quiet about his past and they learned much about him from other family members, but after my grandfather's passing in 1976, (before my birth in 1978) this is all that remains.
